Waldorf Education

Rudolf Steiner 1892Waldorf education (also known as Steiner education) is a humanistic a style of instruction based upon the educational philosophy of the Austrian philosopher Rudolf Steiner. Waldorf education implements a K–12 curriculum based on a child's academic, emotional and physical development. Early childhood learning is largely experiential, imitative and sensory-based; learning in the middle grades is regarded as artistic and imaginative; and the emphasis during the upper grades is on developing intellectual understanding and ethical ideals such as social responsibility.
