17th Annual Not Back to School Camp for unschoolers ages 13-18

(Founded and directed by Grace Llewellyn, an American educator, author, and publisher--her work in the fields of youth liberation, unschooling and homeschooling.)

When and Where: Session 1, Camp Latgawa (Eagle Point), July 30-August 6; Session 2, Camp Myrtlewood (Bridge), August 21-September 4

Things to Note:

• NBTSC is a non-denominational, non-religious camp.
• Campers stay in clean, simple cabins. Girls and boys have separate cabins, all ages mixed together. Bathrooms are in separate buildings nearby.
• Each day there are morning meeting and evening meetings; everyone is required to attend both, during which everyone sits together enjoying each others’ presence, sing together, important announcements are made, and campers and staff are able to raise concerns.
• Campers are provided three yummy vegetarian meals each day—using mostly organically grown ingredients.  Vegan alternatives are available. They can usually accommodate wheat-free diets too. (At Camp Latgawa, meat is occasionally served; there are also vegetarian/vegan options.)
