IAMHOMESCHOOLING.COM - YOUR #1 HOMESCHOOL RESOURCE

iamhomeschooling.com is a comprehensive homeschool website that provides valuable information and a vast compilation of resources to all homeschooling families, whether considering homeschooling, new to homeschooling, or veteran homeschoolers.

Homeschoolers nationwide will find helpful articles, support groups, umbrella schools, evaluators, curriculum resources, homeschool events and programs, printable planners and forms, organized links to educational websites and free resources, and more. Understanding the need for up-to-date information, and knowing first-hand how hard it is to find, we strive to keep our content current and relevant.

We also offer our own umbrella school for homeschoolers in the State of Florida. We operate as a home-based private school for grades K-12. We require annual attendance reporting in lieu of evaluations. Our school is affiliated with Florida Virtual School, and we can assist high school homeschoolers with dual enrollment at Florida community colleges and universities. Learn More

About Us

Yes! Your homeschooled high-schooler may enroll in courses creditable toward both a high school diploma and a career certificate or an associate or baccalaureate degree provided he or she satisfies any course prerequisites and meets certain requirements.

If your child is interested in dual enrolling in your local community college or university, you will first need to find out what the enrollment deadlines, procedures, and requirements are for your chosen institution.  There are specific deadlines for applying for dual enrollment, placement testing (if your child does not already have qualifying test scores), and approvals.  In addition, if your chosen community college or university requires an articulation agreement with iamhomeschooling.com and we do not already have one in place,  you will need to give us sufficient time to process the necessary paperwork.

Please keep in mind that dual enrollment courses are college-level courses presented on an adult level, and the amount of work necessary to succeed in these courses is greater than in high school courses.  Students must be self-disciplined and motivated to study outside of class.  It is important that your child is dedicated to his or her studies and understands what is expected before enrolling. Dual enrollment courses become a part of your child's permanent college transcript and are calculated into his or her permanent high school GPA.  Students who receive a failing grade may have difficulty meeting future admission requirements at colleges and universities and difficulty qualifying for financial aid and scholarships.

For more information on dual enrollment and early college admission, please read Dual Enrollment and Early Admission Programs.

Your website, information and umbrella school have been quite a blessing during our (short-lived) life in Florida. I have enjoyed homeschooling my  son and your site helped to give me the confidence that I could do it!  —Thanks, Kim T.
Thank you for replying so quickly to my email! I really appreciate that. I am going to be enrolling my son in your school. Your quick response has made me feel very assured that I would be able to reach you in case any questions came up and that is important to me since I have never done this before. I have found your site to be so helpful to me along this journey of deciding to school my son outside of the traditional methods. I will be gathering the required documents over the next few days and then I will mail them to you along with the payment for him. Thank you for taking the time to set up your website to help people who are wanting/needing to do something different with their children regarding their education. :)
