Montessori Instruction

Maria Montessori was an Italian doctor and educator, and a winner of two Nobel Peace Prize nominations. She is noted for successfully creating a learning environment focused on children's interests.1 The Montessori educational method is in use today in public schools, private schools, and homeschools everywhere. Montessori instruction is primarily suited for, but not limited to, preschool and elementary students. Through the Montessori method, children engage in learning activities of their own choice in a carefully planned learning environment full of specialized hands-on, self-correcting learning materials.
